Student Behavioral Support
In order to support our students with Behavioral Expectations, we implement Positive Behavioral Support and Interventions program by providing students with examples of what is expected on campus. We have our HAWK Values that we bring up each and everyday, as well as monthly character traits that we highlight. Students are rewarded for their positive behaviors and interactions through various means, including our Hawk Tickets.
Hawk Values
- H - Have Respect
- A - Are Responsible
- W - Work Hard
- K - Keep It Safe
Hawk Tickets and The Hawk's Nest (Our Hawk Store)
We believe that good behaviors and upholding Hawk Values should be rewarded. Hawk Tickets are ways for students to be rewarded for demonstrating any of our hawk values throughout the school day. These tickets are then used at The Hawk's Nest in exchange for prizes.
Monthly Character Traits
On top of our Hawk Values, we introduce a new Character Trait each month of the school year. We use the month to discuss how the character trait can me demonstrated and tied to our everyday Hawk Values. At the end of the month, students are nominated for being a model of the character trait.
