ELPAC - English Learner Proficiency Assessments for California
ELPAC is for students grades K-12th where English is not their primary language. This test measures how well the students understand English through listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The assessments comes in two parts: The Initial ELPAC test and the Summative ELPAC.
Initial ELPAC: This is the first test used to identify the student as an English Learner. It will help the teachers, staff, and parents understand where the student will need extra support.

CAASPP - California Assessment of Student Performance & Progress
CAASPP is used to measure a students progress in English Language Arts, Math, and Science. At Cordova Villa Elementary school, this test is given to 3rd-5th Graders in the spring.

CAST - California Science Test
CAST is part of the CAASPP tests and is only administered to 5th Graders while at Cordova Villa Elementary. Students will take another CAST when they reach 8th and 11th grade.
