Welcome to Second Grade at Cordova Villa Elementary! Here is where you will find general information such as the daily schedule for second graders. You will also find the learning goals, additional resources (if applicable), some helpful tips for the home. For any further information regarding your child, reach out to their teacher via the ParentSquare app.

Tips For the Home

Supporting your child(ren) at home is crucial to their overall success. Here are some ways to help them each day.

  • Emphasize school as a top priority.
  • Limit their screen time.
  • Create a routine, including a place for backpacks, work time, and supplies.
  • Read to your child, have them read to you, and ask about what was read.
  • Practice addition and subtraction by 10.
  • Discuss with your child how to self manage their behavior, especially for the classroom.
  • Establish a bedtime that will ensure 8-10 hours of sleep for your child.
  • Look over your child's work and talk to them about their day.
