Tips For the Home
Supporting your child(ren) at home is crucial to their overall success. Here are some ways to help them each day.
- Emphasize school as a top priority.
- Limit their screen time.
- Create a routine, including a place for backpacks, work time, and supplies.
- Read to your child, have them read to you, and ask about what was read.
- Practice addition and subtraction by 10.
- Discuss with your child how to self manage their behavior, especially for the classroom.
- Establish a bedtime that will ensure 8-10 hours of sleep for your child.
- Look over your child's work and talk to them about their day.
